Reader report: pothole on Mill Road near the school gate, photographed by a parent

Submitted by a reader (not verified by the desk): "The pothole is 40 cm wide and fills with water. Two scooters have skidded."

We contacted the roads department, which said the patch is in this week's work list. We will update.

The school said its buses now take a detour of 400 metres. A traffic constable has put out two cones as a stopgap.

We have asked the roads department to tell us the repair date.
