Old-market traders get a festive discount scheme: shops that join will be listed

Participating shops will display a lamp sticker. Over 300 have joined.

Shoppers who buy from three participating shops in a week get one entry into the draw. The first draw will be held on 20 October at the clock tower.

The traders' association says this is the first time that all the old market's lanes have joined a single scheme.

This is a demo story: every name, place, organisation and figure in it is fictional.
